In the book Dreaming the Bear, by Mimi Thebo, there is this girl named Nancy. Nancy is sick because she has water in her lungs. Since she has water in her lungs, it is hard to breathe and she can’t get wet. Nancy gets bored really fast and snowshoes up a mountain. Up the side she finds a bear cave with the bear in it, but it has a wounded shoulder. When the bear wakes up it roars at Nancy but she says “It is me!” and then the bear opens up like it wants a hug. Dreaming the Bear is very well written, and if you like life or death situations and animals, read it.
